Career Summary

Sean graduated from the University of Sunderland with a Batchelors Degree in Law in 2019, and post-graduate Masters degree in Legal Practice (LPC) with Distinction in 2021.

Prior to joining Shearwater Law, he worked at two North East law firms between 2021 – 2025 (practicing residential & commercial property and commercial litigation), before qualifying as a commercial litigation solicitor in February 2025. Sean gained a firm grounding in the Civil Procedure Rules and court/litigation process in England and Wales, as well as developing a commercial outlook when dealing with disputes.

He joined Shearwater in May 2026 to retrain as a shipping solicitor and is looking forward to growing practice in shipping litigation and arbitration.
